We are located directly in the building where Tatranská minerálka is bottled – a rare mineral water obtained from a spring also known as Smokovecká kyselka, which is bottled in original green bottles and distributed by experts as a true gem among mineral waters.
Historical ties and the healing power of a natural spring
The Smokovecká kyselka spring is located in the historically significant heart of Starý Smokovec. Already in the 18th century, the water was so exceptional that it was even imported to the court of Maria Theresa in Vienna. This extraordinary spring is described as natural, bicarbonate, calcium-magnesium, carbonated, cold hypotonic water with a ferruginous color, pH of about 3.4 and a temperature of about 6 °C.
For centuries, it has attracted visitors with its healing effects – it refreshes, supports digestion and detoxification, is rich in magnesium, calcium, potassium and iron, which contributes to physical and mental health. Today, it is available to the public in a built gazebo, which makes it accessible 365 days a year — and we at Chamois Apartments have the privileged position of being directly connected to this spring.
