Štrbské Pleso Ski Resort is among the most sought-after in the entire Tatras and is a landmark of Slovak skiing. It is located directly by the eponymous lake and offers a unique combination of beautiful nature with quality services. The resort is especially popular among families and beginner skiers, but thanks to its size and variety everyone can find something for themselves. Its atmosphere is calm and elegant.
At the resort you will find a total of 9 km of ski slopes with varying difficulty. Mostly easy and intermediate runs predominate, which are ideal for families with children and for those who are just getting acquainted with skiing. On the slopes of the Solisko ridge experienced skiers will also find what they are looking for. The runs are regularly groomed and equipped with artificial snowmaking, which guarantees great conditions throughout the season.
For skiers' comfort there are modern chairlifts and T-bars available. The biggest attraction is the 4-seater chairlift to Solisko, which takes you up to an altitude of 1,814 m above sea level, from where you get a unique panoramic view of the Sub-Tatra Basin. Besides skiing, Štrbské Pleso also prides itself on ski jumping hills, which testify to the rich history of Nordic disciplines in the region, and first-class cross-country trails, which are a popular destination for cross-country skiing enthusiasts.
