Téry's hut, affectionately nicknamed "Terinka", is the highest year-round open chalet in the Tatras. It is situated at an altitude of 2015 m, in the embrace of the Five Spiš Spits. Just the drive to the chalet is an unforgettable experience. It starts in Stary Smokovec, from where you can reach Hrebienok by an overland cable car or on foot, and then continue via Zamkovský chalet.
The hike to Téry's hut is one of the more difficult ones. The trail leads through exposed terrain and requires good physical fitness. The reward, however, is a panoramic view and the opportunity to see the Five Spiš Spits glistening in the sun. The hut serves as an important point for climbers and hikers, offering accommodation and refreshments.
